Jennie helped us with our rescue Border Collie, offering great advice that our dog responded well to. After a walk, our dog’s lead walking improved, and she followed up with a helpful email. Highly recommend!”

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a dog behaviourist do?

I look at the emotions driving behaviour (fear, frustration, stress) and create kind, practical plans that change how your dog feels—not just what they do.

Where are you based and which areas do you cover?

I’m based in South Woodham Ferrers and cover Essex. Not sure I cover your area? Send me a WhatsApp message and I’ll confirm.

Do you use positive reinforcement?

Yes—reward-based, force-free methods only. We keep dogs under threshold, build confidence and choice, and never use aversive tools or intimidation.

Can you help with reactive or aggressive dogs?

Absolutely. I specialise in big feelings like barking/lunging, fear, guarding and visitor worries. We create a safety-first plan and practise calm alternatives your dog can succeed with.

What’s included in a behaviour consultation?

An in-depth chat and observation, a tailored plan, coached practice, clear homework and written notes—plus WhatsApp support so you know exactly what to do next.

Do you offer packages as well as pay-as-you-go?

Yes. You can book single sessions or choose a value-packed Foundations option (see the packages carousel on each service page).

  • Starter — Most popular first step for a clear plan.
  • Progress — Extra coaching to keep momentum.
  • Plus — More visits and supported real-life practice.

You can start with Starter and upgrade by paying the difference—no lock-ins, no pressure.

What is included in puppy training?

Calm Foundations: name response, settle on a mat, toilet routine, bite inhibition, gentle handling, recall beginnings and loose-lead basics—taught at your puppy’s pace.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes—great for assessment, planning and owner coaching, especially for dogs who are worried by visitors or for families further away.

How do I book and what happens first?

Message me on WhatsApp or tap “Book”. I’ll reply within one business day, confirm your goals and suggest the best first step for you and your dog.

What’s your pricing and cancellation policy?

Guide prices are listed on each service page (e.g., Behaviour Starter from £140, Puppy Starter from £199). If plans change, just let me know as early as possible—current notice periods and any fees are shared at booking so everything is clear and fair.
